Plumes of dust,
A moth—
These are the revelations
Of the plunging sun.
July 26, 2010
No progress today.
Nor yesterday, with its early-morning haze washed away by rain.
—But was fortunate to see sunlight before dusk,
And the melting of the western sky into violet and gold
Behind long ribbons of clouds.
The day before I can hardly remember,
Shuffled off like an old woman.
